My name is Alexa Renee Smothers (Or Dok / Dok Kizmit) and I’m a life-long artist and aspiring illustrator.

My world has always revolved around art and the very expression of the deepest reaches of the inner self.

The insanity all began with my first drawing of the world and all its continents at about the age of 2-3.

Since then, it ‘s been as though my body is binding this massive feral beast of a soul and the only way that it is quelled is through the catharsis of expression in visual-art and the simultaneous telling of a story. I live, I breathe, eat, drink, sleep, dream art. Every facet of life for me is ruled by this innate need to create and express that which dwells within through drawing, sketching, painting, and illustrating;

it is all like translating thought in its rawest form. Per se, I’m a visual linguist.

That drive is also run on a very vivid imagination kindled by a thirst for knowledge and obsessive interests in the esoteric; shamanism, ancient philosophy, meditation, alchemy, and general paradigms of the paranormal/metaphysical, while still bound by science and study.

That being said, music is a major part of my creative process. As musical notes and chords have a vibrational frequency, so do colors. I feel that visual arts and music converge naturally.

Some music which inspires me most, depending on the work and the feel of the piece, can range fromClassical Piano Concerto to Atmospheric Metal… and everything in between.

Every soul has a story to tell and mine is already expressing itself visually. If ever you are in need of a dedicated, understanding, and expressive illustrator to aid you in your own “story”.
